Qatar Airways Launches Double Bed In Business Class (Photos)



Qatar Airways has launched the first-ever double bed within business class.

The Q suite allows passengers to recline two middle seats into a fully flat bed and features partition panels to create a private bedroom with two entertainment screens inside.

This new initiative marks a world-first for the industry and looks to set a precedent for rival carriers.

China Opens Visa Centre In Abuja

As Posted By Thisdaylive The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Abuja has opened a new visa application centre in Abuja to facilitate procurement of Chinese visas for Abuja residents and environs. The centre, located at Churchgate Plaza, Central Business District, will commence operations from September 20, 2017, according to the Deputy Ambassador, Mr. Lin Jing. Jing said the visa application centre was opened to improve the service standard for applicants but not to harm the procedure. Speaking to journalists at a media briefing yesterday in Abuja, Jing said: “From Wednesday, all ordinary passport holders wishing to visit the People’s Republic of China are requested to apply for visas at Abuja China Visa Application Centre,” He however said diplomats and official passport holders or applicants applying for Hong Kong/Macao Special Administrative Region visa/entry permits are to submit their applications directly to the Chinese embassy. New Museum in Anambra State: Onitsha Museum

The Governor of Anambra state Chief Willie Obiano has laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Chimedie Museum in Onitsha. The museum, according to the governor was in part pursuit of the administration’s exploration and expansion of the state’s tourism potentials. He said, “my administration is exploring the state’s tourism potentials as a way of preserving the rich cultural heritage of the State”. The governor acknowledged that Onitsha as an ancient Igbo kingdom, spanning over many decades has very rich cultural endowments including collections and artifacts.He therefore commended the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Ugochukwu Achebe for bringing up the initiative to preserve and showcase the people’s cultural and traditional heritage.
